Current site features

Method & Miles does not offer accounts, written comments, payments, newsletter sign-up, or contact forms. Articles offer an optional Helpful reaction and share/copy buttons. Views, share requests, and copy counts are not displayed publicly.

Email inquiries

If you contact us using the email address on our contact page, we may process information you choose to provide, including your email address, name, message, and attachments, in order to deliver, review, and respond to your inquiry. We use this information only to handle the inquiry and related follow-up.

Visits and usage statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to review aggregate visits, page views, referrers, country and device categories, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies or track visitors across sites.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page use, traffic sources, device categories, and engagement. Analytics cookies may be used in general regions. For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics storage is restricted by default and only cookieless measurement signals are sent. Advertising storage, advertising user data, Google Signals, and ad personalization are disabled in all regions.

Views use the existing GA4 page measurement. GA4 also records successfully returned native share requests, successful URL copies, and helpful add/remove events by article. Share requests do not prove delivery or reading, and blockers or device behavior can cause undercounting. The reaction identifier is not sent to GA4.

Optional helpful reactions

Your first reaction creates a random browser identifier in this site’s localStorage. Cloudflare D1 stores that identifier, the article path, and the reaction timestamp to reduce duplicate reactions and calculate the current total. The reaction tables do not store your name, email address, or IP address. A network address may be used transiently to limit requests. Pressing the button again deletes your reaction for that article. Records supporting your choice remain until you undo it or the feature is retired. Clearing browser storage or changing devices may prevent linking or undoing a previous choice; this is not verified one-person-one-vote. Storage errors or free-tier limits may disable reactions without preventing access to article text.

Affiliate links

Some articles may contain affiliate links. Our commission and editorial-independence standards are explained in the Affiliate Disclosure, and content containing an affiliate link will also carry a clear disclosure.

Service operations and external links

Our hosting service may process technical connection information to provide security and reliable operation. External sites linked from our articles apply their own privacy practices.
